CALL TO ORDER & INTRODUCTIONS
President Nichols called the meeting to order at 6:10pm. Attendees then gave introductions.
QUORUM & APPROVAL OF MINUTES
As there were 10 dues-paid members in attendance, quorum was met.
In order to streamline meetings, the Executive Committee has decided to suspend approval of minutes as this is not a requirement in the bylaws; meeting minutes will still be available for members to view on the LRDAN website by the next general meeting.
SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER(S)
Arkansas State Representative Tippi McCullough (District 74)
Representative McCullough – who represents a portion of downtown Little Rock - shared updates on the most recent session of the Arkansas legislature, including her successful legislation and where progress still needs to occur.
Topics included maternity health, domestic violence, cell phone ban in schools, tax holiday for gun safety devices, food dessert reduction, and free school breakfasts. She also highlighted a potential partnership with the Little Rock Zoo and the new Lyon College veterinary school.
She shared that outside of the regular session, the Arkansas Legislative Council continues to meet and work.

Becca Green who is communication chief with Little Rock’s local transit authority, Rock Region Metro, highlighted the progress towards revamping the downtown station on Capitol Avenue – the River Cities Travel Center – which is now 25 years old. It is the only station where riders may transfer routes. They have some exciting developments planned and welcome feed back from the community including through this survey. Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. (not on agenda)
Mayor Scott answered questions and concerns from attendees, particularly around recent nuisance activity in the River Market and city parks. Member Sara Broussard asked Mayor Scott how we should report instances of drag racing that disturbs many downtown residents on weekend evenings; he advised to call 911 and report. Mayor Scott also provided his direct phone number for those in attendance and encouraged them to call him with future concerns.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE UPDATES
Downtown Master Plan Implementation Update
President Nichols gave a brief update on the DMP implementation and discussed the Urban Use ordinance which is undergoing review. To give a cohesive voice and studied approach to the ordinance, President Nichols has formed the Five Points Infill Task Force which includes representatives from the Dunbar, East LR, Pettaway, and QQ neighborhoods. The group has reviewed the proposed amendments and provided feedback to city staff.
Membership Report
Secretary Weaver reported that there are 60 total dues-paid members (41 Individual, 19 Business) including 11 additional since the May 1 meeting.

Upcoming Community Events
Officers encouraged attendance at many upcoming downtown Little Rock events including SoMa PRIDE Parade + Festival this weekend (June 7).

Membership (not on agenda)
Chair Crenshaw has moved out of Arkansas and stepped down as Membership Chair. DNA is seeking a replacement, so please let officers know if you are interested.

Clean and Safe Streets (Up and Coming!)
This committee is in formation and actively recruiting members. It will combine public safety, bike and pedestrian safety, and shared space beautification including litter removal to promote active transportation and civic awareness in downtown Little Rock. If you are interested, please fill out this form online.

Next general meeting is set for July 3 at 6pm at CALS Williams Library.
President Nichols adjourned the meeting at 7:15pm to potluck.
