Join the Downtown Little Rock Neighborhood Association this 4th of July for a joyful morning of food, neighbors, music, sunshine, and summertime tradition in the Governor’s Mansion District!
BRUNCH AT THE EMPRESS | 9:00–10:30 AM
2120 S Louisiana
We’ll kick off the morning with a community potluck brunch on the beautiful grounds and grand front porch of The Empress. Bring your favorite breakfast or brunch dish to share and enjoy coffee, water, Aretha’s Strawberry Lemonade, and mimosas with neighbors and friends.
A huge thank you to our hosts James & Ben for opening up this incredible historic home for the community—and to Wendy Blair for graciously donating mimosas in honor of her parents.
Please bring a lawn chair or blanket!
PARASOL PARADE | Begins at 11:00 AM
At 11 AM we’ll gather at Charles Bussey Ave & Spring Street and parade our way to the Governor’s Mansion gates—walking, biking, rolling, dancing, and celebrating together through downtown.
Bring your bike
Bring a parasol or umbrella
Dress festive or come exactly as you are
And when we arrive? The Fire Department will revive a classic summertime tradition by opening up a nearby hydrant sprinkler on Center Street so kids (and adults!) can cool off and play in the water together. Bring clothes you don’t mind getting wet in!
The first 50 children marching in the parade will receive a custom-printed bandana as a prize!
