General Meeting Minutes – October 1, 2026

Location: Historic Curran Hall

Call to Order & Introductions

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

61 dues-paying members
Quorum: 9 members

Financial Update

Available Balance: $1,093.13

Officer Updates

I-30 Deck Park Community Advisory Board

Community meeting scheduled for October 22 regarding Reconnecting Communities.

Downtown Little Rock Partnership Board

Updates discussed regarding the Little Rock MicroVillage. A completion date has not yet been determined. The project will provide a variety of services.

National Night Out

National Night Out will be held October 6 at MacArthur Park.

Historic Preservation Committee

Infill Survey: Deadline is October 2.
Greater Preservation Awards: Scheduled for November 12.

Safe & Clean Streets Committee

Monthly committee meeting is held at Moody Brews on the third Wednesday of each month.
Spring Street Halloween Block Party: October 31, 6–8:30 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to help run activities and pass out candy.
Brittany motioned to provide $100 for the event. Rip seconded. Motion passed.

Outreach Committee

2nd Friday Art Night: Face painting scheduled for October 8.

By-Laws Review Committee (Ad Hoc)

The committee discussed meeting cadence.
The holiday potluck will remain on the schedule.
A suggestion was made to eliminate regular potluck meetings and instead hold potlucks as part of special events.

Ballot Issues Overview & Open Discussion

Ballot issues were reviewed, followed by an open discussion.

New Business

Neighborhood Announcements & Upcoming Events

Neighborhood updates were shared from SoMa, Dunbar, Pettaway, MacArthur Park, and the Downtown Little Rock Partnership.
Repair Café: October 18 at the Southwest Community Center.
Dunbar Heritage Festival: October 10, including a fashion show.
Public Lunches: Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
No Kings March: Saturday, October 17, organized by Central Arkansas Pride.
Cornbread Festival: November 7.
