January 2023 Meeting Minutes (Approved)

Thursday, January 5th, 2023


First meeting of the new year was held at Curran Hall, split between people physically being there and some joining virtually via Zoom. First order of business was the election of the 2023 Executive Board. President Sarah Thomas, Vice President Kathy Wells, Treasurer Lindsey Boerner, Secretary Jonathan Sketas, and while not an elected position, Joel DiPippa will serve as Parliamentarian.


President Sarah Thomas discussed a possible partnership with Downtown Little Rock Partnership to hold a block party.


Discussion over possible additional Executive positions, committee chairs and assignments.

Patricia Blick gave an update on the Quapaw Quarter Association’s plans for the year with their first meeting being January 30th.


Keep Little Rock Beautiful Commission spoke about their annual clean-up for interstate park on January 16th. They also mentioned a clean-up of McArthur Park on March 11th in tandem with the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.


Capitol Zoning gave us an update on the upcoming Mansion Area Master Plan Public Workshop to be schedule February 6th at 5:30. As well as Surveys for the public to fill out about the Mansion Area and Capitol Area.
